About to Buy a Karnivor...Advice?

Hi Folks-

Well, I think I'm going to spring for a Karnivor. But before I do, could someone answer a few questions for me?

1) What modes does it have, and can you explain each of them for me?

2) How many BPS will it shoot?

3) For you Karni owners out there, do you like it?

Your opinions are appreciated!

I like mine a lot. If you get one with 1.10 software (or higher), it has capped and uncapped semi (NPPL and CFOA), and 15 bps capped ramping with and without the 1 sec ramp reset delay (so PSP and Millennium legal). I've gotten mine to 21 bps (shooting paint) using a double-tap modded trigger (I can't pull anywhere near that fast on my own)

Sweet, thanks!

So, how does one get the software updates, in the event that mine comes with older software?

That's a good question. Contact Planet Eclipse on that - I'm pretty sure you can still send your board in to be flashed. Used to be they'd flash it free at NPPL events, but they may be offering that for Egos only at this point.

Well, I got my new Karni a week ago. Blood red with black parts. It's probably the most gorgeous gun I've ever seen. I'll have to post pics on it.

It came with the 1.10 software in the E2 grip. After setting it to PSP mode, tweaking the trigger, and adjusting the timing settings, this marker absolutely ROCKS!!! It is impressively fast, will hold up with my new Shocker NXT, and will outshoot my older Dark Angel LCD and IR3 markers!!

So, here's a question: is it worth it to buy the Zero-B board? What advantages do I gain from getting it? How much do they cost, and how hard is it to install?

Thanks.

You have an E2 v1.10. There's no point in buying a ZeroB. The ZeroB was an upgrade board to put E2 electronics in E1 frames. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the software v1.10 and v1.20 (the newest) is what they call the different modes (Semi 1, Semi 2, Ramp 1, Ramp 2 etc. vs Semi, CFOA, PSP, Mill, etc)

Wonderful! Many thanks...you've saved me money on a board that I don't even need.
