Little tip for timing pre-97 cockers
I just discovered this little tidbit after tinkering with my '96 the other night.
This is for cockers that don't have a timing hole drilled on top of the marker.
It's a PITA to get the sear lug just right because we've got to take the grip frame off for every adjustment. No longer! Here's the easy way around:
Take off the grip plates
Remove the sear spring
Slide out the sear pin
Tip the marker forward to get the sear to slide forward
The lug should be right there and ready for your wrench!
Absolutely painless compared to taking off the grip frame!
