trilly pump reg replacement suggestions ?

lookin to replace the stock reg on this as im getting very inconsistant velocities, like this - 163 - 257- 346-224 - 301 - i tried to sweet spot it and its just not co-operating . looked at the ivg , and its not moving , i made black tick marks on it and the housing and examined prior to and post firing, so i figure must be in the reg - whats the best replacement for the money ?....( on a budget so please be gentle)....

I have two Bob Long Torpedo regs on my cockers. If you can find them slightly used for cheap, they are a good bang for the buck.

Or you could try cleaning the current one. Mine worked better than new after it was cleaned.

looks like you need to put the major portion of the body in a vice with wood or rubber on the jaws to protect the reg. then use a wrench, the right size since someone looks like they used pliers to take the bottom off before you, and unscrew the bottom. take out the internals and try to remember which way they go so you can get them back in in order. oil up the orings inside and put it back together. dont tighten the bottom on mega tight just snug so if you need to get it back apart it is not a major headache. tired looking in the manuals section and didnt see any scamatics of the regs in the trilogy manuals.
