Autococker ... shroud or no shroud?

I have a shroud for my 1992 autococker, but it is difficult to slide on to and off of the front block. Also, it is leaving long scratches on the anno of the Rock LPR and stock barrel.

My question for MCB... This weekend this cocker will finally see the field. Should I play with the shroud on or off?

With shroud - three-way hoses and pneumatics are protected from paint, dirt, abuse, etc.

Without shroud - brass looks really shiny :D

I have always played without! In my opinion it looks nicer!
But its your choice-good luck!
Go naked!

Shroud it ! You've got the cool oldschool aluminum shroud, show it off.

I'd use the shroud. Just remember you'll need to cut a hole for the Rock knob.

Kickin' it - Old Skool!

That picture's old... I replaced the knob with a normal set screw so that I don't have to cut the shroud.

Oh, ok...the neophrene will still get a little stretched since the rock's longer than the stock LPR, but that shouldn't really be an issue.

Leave the shroud on! I do with my old Cockers!!! The newer Cockers I have I play shroudless, but the oldies I shroud!

Be proud of your shroud!

Shroud that mother. Nothing sucks worse than taking a hit to the microline & blowing 2 ounces of CO2 everywhere.

I'll only use cockers with shrouds. They're just so awesome!

Take it off, take it all off!

Here's a pic of my old cocker, #6997, shroud off baby!:
