Custom 98 Cocker w/ AKALMP internals - can't get velocity below 290

Hey guys, I have a 1998 custom milled/anno'd cocker that has an AKALMP tornado valve, a low pressure chamber up front, evolution style bolt, adjustable LPR, clippard ram and a WGP Ergo reg.

The problem is that even with the velocity nut unscrewed ALL the way, I can't get the velocity below 290fps. I turn the Ergo reg adjustment nut on the bottom and watch the fps climb to between 290-295, then the fps drops off, so i turn it back a hair to the 290-295 setting. Cocking pressure on the LPR is about 1/8 of a turn past the point of where it starts to stop on balls, so that should be fine.

I know the AKALMP stuff is mega low pressure, so what should I do to get it to work right? Change springs? Any help would be appreciated, thanks -King

You have a few options. You could change to lighter mainspring or heavier valve spring. This might allow you to still stay within your sweetspot. Or Aka suggests adjusting your velocity with the regulator. so you could also just increase the pressure like you mentioned earlier.
