WGP sniper prototype lever action autococker project with video I have been tossing this idea around for awhile now. I think I am about ready to start fabricating some parts. Has anyone heard of this being done? I will post some pics of my progress if there is any interest in this thread. |
Thought about it...my thought was to use the stock grip frame and pivot the lever through the safety hole- that should give you a really short lever stroke. |
I must see pics!!! |
4 Attachment(s) That was where I thought i would put it initially but after starting the mock up it seemed to be a better movement with the pivot off the reg where the pressure gauge would screw in. I have some 3/8 6061 aluminum to use and no special tools to cut it with just files, drill press, hack saw, angle grinder, and a vise. Here is what the mock up looks like and no I haven't figured out exactly how the pivot will pivot but the hex holes in the cp reg are a good point to start. |
Interesting..A remote reg might give you a bt more room for the lever.. Have you ever watched a Biathalon rifle in action? The cocking stroke is so short...I always wanted to build a paintball gun styled after a Finewerkbau 300 match air rifle with that cocking motion. |
The lever stroke is a lot shorter than most lever actions i just hope i can still grab the reg without interfering with the linkage. The Biathlon rifle is a slick setup for a bolt action have you seen the fx ranchero carbine it is similar and has a sweet stock too. Airguns of Arizona - FX Ranchero Carbine |
16 Attachment(s) Here is some ruff hack saw work and some holes. I left the arm wide so i can make sure its where i want it. |
1 Attachment(s) progress slow |
1 Attachment(s) did some more sanding and filing. |
Nice, I asked noxx for a similar lever action on a steaming phantom build(but it had two levers). Still waiting on him to just return the parts though. Anyway for yours, look for an Asia extender that just uses a tiny air passage way. That should give you enough meat to add a pivot point |
