Are there any other parts that would be recommended? A BIY if you will of various parts one at a time. I don't think I can spend $70 on everything at once. I plan on buying a spring kit for sure, three of use here need them anyways to fine tune our pumps. One of us has a valve tool somewhere. Once I get it taken apart I'll let you know what I've got. |

Stock internals are what are in it. Anyone know where I can find new back block? This one isn't threaded in straight on the pump arm. And I want one that lines up with the milling better and get polished black. |

Looks like I'll be going the Rat Valve direction with a spring kit. Anyone have any input about the hammer weight's effect on performance? Why choose heavier or lighter is what I want to know since I have to buy a new one anyways. |

Stock valves are fine and can be tuned not to bounce easily enough. Pretty much any aftermarket valve is good, just lower or higher pressure. Hammer weight... heavier might be slightly better for pump since the spring would be weaker? It's pretty minor, I would just make sure it is stainless and has a nice lug. Roller sear is pretty awesome, have you made sure you have all of the set screws setup in the trigger frame? Every slider I have seen lately is missing set screws or adjusted wrong. It makes a huge difference.

I'm looking at aftermarket valves with an oring on the stem for more air efficiency. I've got all the set screws installed. The slide trigger I had was real smooth but I really wanted a roller and finally found an Omega kit so I drop it in there. I've got some more parts on the way. Will update when I get them installed. |

As an update I stripped the rear frame screw. The front one is already helicoiled but this one was beyond being able to fix. I had to go up to a 1/4in screw before I could get the tap to bite for new threads. Its ugly but doesn't get in the way. Made me kinda sad to have to do it. This poor body has had a rough life. I tried playing with it at the last Viper Scenario in Houston but I couldn't get it to chrono. What I get for not ordering a spring kit in time. |
