Pneumatic Trigger.....Tippmann/BPS design

I've been searching for a Boston Paintball Reflex kit for some time and well....its a hopeless search. If anyone has even a partial or complete kit they are willing to part with PM me.

So anyway I was thinking about building my own. Nothing so complicated like the BPS design, just a one way actuator with a spring return behind the trigger to reset it. Probably powered by gas venting through a QEV on the front of the ram with a proportioning valve along the line.

Question though....can the gas from the ram provide enough volume to push the actuator forward? How much volume does the ram hold? Also if the gas is coming from the front of the ram that should be the very last part of the trigger cycle?

I guess I could do something like the mag owners are doing with a ram, 2/3way and extra LPR, but it seems overly complicated for a marker that already has a ton of moving parts....

Seems to me that a simple pneumatic switch and short ram would do all the work needed. I would look for a spring biased ram, as for the trigger. I am sure one of the pushbuton pneu switches common in the pneu mags would suffice.

Of course if you are local there is always delivery by trebuchet. However, either method of delivery requires wrapping in a plastic bag to prevent leakage of urine.<from pickle>
