| Rec Poster Join Date: Oct 2009 | Removed jam nt, but valve won't come out.
Well, I made my own removal tool (10-24 coupler, drilled out with 1/4 drill bit). Got the jam nut out, seemed like a bit of rust. Anyways, the valve is still in there and won't budge. I have never owned a cocker before so I have no idea what I need to do to get it out, or what I could break. Thanks. |

U remove the valve screw on the underside of the body?

Once you know you have the retaining nut out for the valve...(I do this) slap the body in your hand and the valve should fall out. If that doesn't work take the front block screw out and use an allen wrench to push it out that way

Ya I removed the retaining screw before all of this. Got it out with a chopstick and banging. Now the valve doesn't want to go back in, even after sanding some burrs from the previous owners. Btw, for posterity, the chopstick didn't seem to cause damage. |
