if the middle hose is long enough and the issue is that it is worn, you could get away with just cutting the worn part away and pushing it back on the barb.

i have to agree with vitalsilence about sweetspotting a regulator. sweetspotting in all i have read and experimented with, is more about efficiency. my markers run consistent at lower than sweetspot setting.
