Valve Tool

Well I guess mine has grown wings and flown away as I can't seem to find it anymore. Does anyone know who's making these now? Super_Stanchy was but I don't think he is anymore. There's a couple on eBay for decent prices as well but prefer to send my money to someone here or CC.

I think a valve tool can be made with parts from the hardware store. A member here had a tutorial on how to make one, but I cannot remember who it was.

If you have a drill press and vice I read somewhere you can just drill out a longer allen wrench to work in a pinch. Dont quote me but I think its a 5/16th allen and 3/16th or 7/32nd drill bit, centered and 3/4th inch deep.

I made one. Get the right sized threaded coupler and loc tite it half way threaded to a bolt that is long enough to reach the jam nut. Then you drill out the other side of the coupler to the right size. Can't remember what it is, but things get a little thin.

I tried that before making my tool. Without the right bits, it will take a long time.

If you need a cheap one in a pinch, you can buy a cheap 10-in-one screwdriver from Autozone. The largest shank will be 5/16, the insert 1/4", and the bits are 1/4". Pull the bit out, and the 1/4" insert will fit right in. You'll probably need some channel locks to turn it, as the wedgits that engage the handle will be inside of the lower tube; but it works in a flash for a $5 counter buy.
