Rex Dialer questions

I understand that you no longer have to remove the cocking rod to change velocity. I searched on the net and only found the PBReview comments, which were no help. First off, are these still for sale? If so do they work with the ANS style bolt in velo adjusters or the WGP threaded adjusters? Really any info you have on them would be great.

Basically they were a stainless steel collar that was bolted into place in the lower tube by your beaver-tail screw. Inside was an IVG that had two notches in it as well as the original hex-key hole for the cocking rod to run through. Those two slots correspond to a metal "key" that has a slot cut in it that allows you to place it around the cocking rod and use the two tabs on the bottom of the "key" to move the IVG in or out to fine tune your velocity. They worked well, but can be a pain to keep in place while you're trying to screw/bolt everything together.

Not really. Rex dialers are the bomb. Until you lose the key.

At least if you loose the key, you can go back to using a hex-key without having to disassemble the marker.

I have one I like quite a bit, but i don't know what brand it is. Thought it was a Rex Dialer...

It's the same steel collar, with a large set screw inside it. Then, on the side, riding shotgun on the seam, is a smaller set screw, so a 3/32 allen wrench is used to adjust the velocity, requiring only a small hole to be drilled in the backblock to slip the wrench into. I like it because this way I don't need to rechrono every time I strip down my marker, as the collar stays the same length.
