CCM IVG In a Karnivor?

What modifications are required for a CCM IVG to work with the Karnivor ICS system.

Full Story:
I have a Karnivor pump with the stock IVG. Because i have a CCM Frame i am unable to use the screw and snatch that originally locked the IVG in place. The design of the IVG means makes it essentially free floating and without anything locking it in place it begins to back out after a few shots which leads to fps loss throughout the day. There are a couple fixes as far as i know. Use a 10-32 x 1/4' set screw to hold the ivg in place (however this prevents adjustment unless you take the whole frame off; PITA). wrap the ivg in teflon, problem is the space between threads requires a lot of teflon and i still get some backing out, CCM IVG, which people tell me requires modifications?

I don't have a Karni but I have a CCM IVG, and the ID of the middle hole is about .205. Maybe that is too small for the Karni cocking rod?

I use the CCM IVG with my Karni. You need to either sand or use a rat tail file to enlarge the hole slightly. Without mods, it does not clear the cocking rod threads.

I've thought about this too due to the same issue. The CCM IVG will not fit without modification. Ot is just a hair too small due to the threading on the ICS for the karni. However. If you tap it it will fit, but be warned it will cut into the tool slots slightly (not enough to prevent use, but just enough).

Do you know how much larger you need to make the hole? If you need to remove more material I would start with a small round file, then start smoothing that out with around 400 and end around 1000 so it's nice and smooth.

I found a set of small files at Lowe's that has different shaped files, works well for small parts.

Round/bastard/rat tail file will work best and fastest. I just compared a standard ccm ivg with the one in my karni, basically it is filed right up to where the hex holes are, just a sliver of metal left.

I just used a drill press. Don't have my bros karni here or I'd check which bit I used...
