98 benchmark frame

This probably needs to go in the WTB Section but I'm going to try here first. I just recently acquired a 98 benchmark frame off Ebay. I tried putting a regular style trigger plate in the frame, but it did not want to fit. The plate sits too high where 1/8 of it is exposed on top of the frame. So I assume I need to find a older trigger plate that will fit. But do I need to find an older style sear and springs as well? Or will any type fit? Where can I find older internals for my benchmark?

I forget the two frame models but I have had this happen before. I think the DYE trigger plates were different and wouldn't fit into a powerlyte frame I had. I ended up finding the powerlyte trigger plate and it fit.

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there... your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth.. live it.. love it..

I didnt know that about the dye trigger plates being different... odds are an aftermarket set off of ebay should fit your benchmark just fine.

Well I was thinking of maybe this one:

SHOCKTECH AUTOCOCKER TRIGGER PLATE - eBay (item 330206523156 end time Feb-21-08 14:03:17 PST)

But says "Originally designed for mechanical guns built in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003"

Dont take my word on it being a dye plate. It might not be that style....It may be a different one.

I remember having old style (94?) gripframes that would not accept newer trigger plates (same problem), but I highly doubt that they made benchmark 45s back then.

Well I feel its going to be very hard to find an older style trigger plate for some reason. But I'll try putting up a thread on the WTB Section.
