wgp ranger question?
I finally got one of these and it seems pretty smooth. I was wondering though. Do you twist the bolt that's in front of the trigger frame to adjust the velocity or is it done another way? thanks all. just wanting to know before I bring it out to the field.

The knurled bolt in front of the trigger guard holds the frame onto the adapter & body.
I think my Ranger had an adjustable bolt, can't remember for sure.

oh ok thanks. So how do you adjust the velocity if it needs it?

IF it has an adjustable bolt...turn the center of the bolt with a hex wrench. Make sure that you loosen the pump arm bolts first.

If your ranger was equiped with an adjustable bolt(most were IIRC) Remove the barrel, in the center of the bolt you'll see that its cut hexagonaly for an allen wrench. Turning that part of the bolt clockwise with the allen wrench will increase mainspring tension, turning it counterclockwise will decrease mainspring tension. You can also get any standard nelson spring kit and swap out main and valve springs to dial in you gun perfectly. Just keep in mind that a Ranger is just another nelson and you'll be fine.

I've also seen a Ranger bolt that was adjustable but had no provision to adjust it (ie. screwdriver notch or hex flats).

ok. mine has a couple slots where a screwdriver could fit. i gonna post a pic here in a sec of it to make sure.
