| Beard Enthusiast | My Superbolt hates CO2... I got a Superbolt in a mystery box sale last year and am only just getting around to doing anything with it. My plan was to run a 3.5 vertically in the ASA, but I can't seem to find a spring combo that works. I tried hard, medium, and soft springs from my Maddman kit, but I always seem to over-pressurize the valve. I'll cock it and fire, only to get that "thock" sound you get when the hammer can't crack the valve. I swapped in a pre2k valve, tried the stock Superbolt valve, and every spring combo I could. What do you guys think? |

| If you were to change hammers, I'd stay away from tungsten. They tend to wear out the body bore, and potential issues later on. I'd go with a ST hammer, or a CCM/stock WGP. I actually have a random extra hammer laying around i'd let go for $6, but it does not use a regular lug size. It is fairly heavy though, with the indent in the front for later contact, and the lug placed more toward the front than normal. My guess is that its set up to hit harder and faster than stock hammers, which might work for you. Last edited by Andrewliu6294; 03-20-2008 at 06:46 PM. |
