| Most of the guys up here receive a ring upon receiving their engineering license, hence I do or don't have my ring (do or don't have my license)

| Would this be like a "class ring" but for engineers? Here we just get the paper license and our seal (whether it be a rubber stamp or embosser/krimper or both). Never heard of anyone in the US getting a ring. Must be something from England/Europe. E

| Turns out there are folks in the US that do... but I've never run across an engineer in PA, NJ, Maryland, DE or NY that wears the ring. So it's a pretty limited "membership" and almost seems secret in that even going to Penn State I never heard mention of it.... on the Engineering Honors Society (the one with the Greek Alphabet name). E

| Imagine how far you could have gone if you knew they were gonna hand you jewelry after each academic achievement! Our Schmitti would have been the smartest and most accomplished water engineer since Liberace'! As for the leaks... my understanding is that you don't notice them so much if you throw your gun into a lake somewhere.
