| I had an old cocker that I ran off liquid CO2... well just because I could. PPS rock with one of those old 1/8" NPT CO2 filters to prevent dirty CO2 from wrecking your gun, I think the filter helped the reg, but who knows. Anyways, the point is I would have to "thumb" the cocking rod pretty hard to hold the valve open for a few seconds when I started each day to cool the marker down... It never really got cold enough where I played with it to justify using liquid CO2, so I had to keep the gun cold, but it was pretty fun to shoot with all the snow and smoke and people telling me I was wrecking a perfectly good 02 cocker Point to the story? none really, but the thread seemed resolved

| Unfortunately there were ways around the thumping, folks who had been using anti siphon tanks would typically crank their tanks half a turn back, and voila, it's now a siphon tube, not something you'd want to do, but I can't tell you how many people I caught, and the old small hole on the opposite side of the bolt so when chrono'ing, you turn it to the smaller hole, and when leaving chrono station or getting ready for the game, half a turn and you've got the gun shooting quite a bit harder..lol Where theres a will theres a way. |

| From these replies, I'm glad to find that, as I suspected, paintballers were cheating back in the golden era of paintball when pumps ruled the day, everyone was honorable, etc. all the rants I read on MCB periodically. I discovered another purpose of the beavertail this past weekend. The back block on my Outkast sniper actually has some quite sharp edges. I didn't have a beavertail on (the one I had doesn't fit with my grip frame), and I ended up cutting my hand on the backblock! |
