| Rounded vs. Square lug? Other than the obvious difference between them, What are the useful differences? I just switched from a square to a rounded lug in my sniper, and I feel no noticable difference. I've heard that a rounded lug wears out the sear much slower than a square. So why do people choose different lugs? Which one is "better"? EDIT: spelled the title wrong. |

| MCB Member | rounded lug were introduce as a way to reduced contact surface, therefore reduces friction which makes the mechanical triggers softer to pull and lower the ram pressure to re-cock , but when electronic frames came out they found that the high speed solenoid tripped sear was having a hard time catching the rounded lug. with a pump you don't have to worry about timing and re-cocking pressure, you can use a softer than normal sear spring and almost instant trigger point, so the differences in sear and lug friction is not an issue. |

| Really? It's working perfectly fine for me. It feels just as it did before the rounded lug. Strange. What causes issues with the timing? The hammer release is smooth and consistant in its placement during the AT sequence, the backblock spacing is not changing. |

| I have a rounded lug and it seems to be working well.
