| Old autococker Hey guys, I'min the process of aquiring this autococker. I know this is asked so often, but could anyone please help me with the year? I can't get a serial number and these are my only pics. It doesn't have a detent and it's right feed btw. Thanx, I hope I win the bidding. EDIT: Well, I can't get any pics to work. So just look at Milky Spore's cocker in the gallery, page 15 near the top. This isn't it, but it looks similar, bu w/out detent, beavertail, the backblock is well blockier, and pnues appear to be all brass. The bolt is black as well

| If it's the one on ebay (your description sounds exactly like the seller's pictures), then I would guess it's from the early to mid nineties. My first paintball gun was a 23xxx serial autococker that I bought new in 1995. I still have it and use it although the only thing that's still OEM is the body. Just for reference, mine came with literally a BLOCK for the rear block. A solid hunk of rectangular/cubish aluminum. Also came with a silver, single-hole bolt and the pnues were brass except for the LPR, which was a black non-adjustable "sledgehammer". I had to take it to an airsmith to install the detent and drill the hammer adjustment hole from the top of the body. Took forever to get it working well. Oh yeah, it also cost about $400 back then. :-( Good luck with your bid! |

| Well, I'm no longer in the running, and yeah it is on eBay. Sorry I don't have the attention span for image hosting. But, wow, that's quiet old, are they worth anything? EDIT: Okay, I lied. I broke down and placed my highest bid. I really hope I win. I'd like to get a nice mech to go with my pumps and electro. I run this straight on co2 right? If I get it I think I may set it up with bucket changer. Hmmm....

| IMHO, you're better off getting a newer model that's easier to time. Probably cost you a lot less money and headaches in the long run. There's so many more features built into the newer autocockers that were "upgrades" before. For example, before I had the hammer hole drilled and a new hammer kit installed, I had to remove the grip frame to adjust length of the hammer sear lug. I did that enough times that I wore the threads down that were tapped into the relatively soft aluminum body. I've heli-coiled it and it's fine now, but it was a real pain at the time. Also, if the 3-way is stock, it doesn't come with a threaded 3-way rod. Just a set-screw to keep the rod from moving out of the collar! Needless to say, that didn't allow for a lot of fine adjustment, and it kept coming out at the most inopportune moments. Assuming the main valve is as stock as the rest of the gun appears, then it should be fine on CO2. However, not knowing what kind of LPR that is, you may have problems if the LPR isn't CO2-tolerant. All that aside, I still have and love my old cocker and would never think of parting with it. It's kid of like having an old classic sports car. |

| Well, sadly I lost the bidding by 2.50.
