| cocker gods come hither (cocker newb) Well I've just picked up myself a right feed WGP autococker. was told it was a 2k, but judging from what i dug up on the serial#'s its a 2k1 (98190). My plans are to convert it to a sniper (via a CCM kit probably) with a hitman doodad, put a nice stubby barrel on it (with a python kit since i have the inserts from my phantom) and set it up to take 10 round tubes or a 50 round hopper, and hopefully vertical air from my 3.5oz CO2 The mod list as far as i was told it is (i'm at least the 3rd owner): -Dye Xcel Barrel -Flame Dropfoward -Phat On/Off ASA -WGP Hinge Frame -ANS Quick Pull Bolt what i see from looking at it: air america guage (up to 5000 psi) bob long guage (i believe, its up to 600 PSI) planet eclipse grips ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now from what i see looking at it, i'm going to have to get rid of the current trigger frame and go to a single to be able to screw my 3.5 oz in (can you just screw it into where the regulater/expansion chamber/whatever that silver verticle cylinder is?) Is that a good idea, i'd prefer to rid myself of any regulators, get rid of the drop forward etc.. any insight, other upgraded components you see or anything about it at all is appreciated (this is a bit of an impulse buy, i like the way the cockers look and sound and i wanted another pump or two as alternatives to the phantom, gonna try to get my mitts on a pgp too) |

A good valve with a good spring setup might keep you within 10 to 15 fps variance between shots...and when you get the tank cold, your velocity will drop considerably. Personally, I prefer a bit of regulation so that I can set the gun up to use less than bottle pressure. It allows my tank to get cold and still shoots at pre-set velocity. I think two of my snipers are set up to run on 300 psi and the other is setup to run on bottle pressure...the one with bottle pressure springs is rather stiff to pump too. |

| yeah - 2k plus guns aren't happy running unregged. Now, this doesn't mean that the guy who sold it to you didn't already fix this - so go ahead and try. My guess is that when you gas it up and pull the trigger it won't fire. The pressure will be too high and keep the valve closed. the flame drop is prob CP - and the grips are ION grips. |

| You have to remember that the vert ASA on an autococker doesn't activate the pin valve on a tank so the 3.5 your using would need an on/off valve. Unregged CO2 works better in the pre 99 cockers but will work in a 2k+. Get a Maddmann spring kit, that will help with adjusting it to unregged CO2.

| yup, I've got two of those bodies - the one with the right springs likes a tank right in the ASA just fine. I run them with a reg for consistency anyway, but the screw holding the ASA on works fine to hit the pin valve. |

| i might just go ahead and get myself a preset regged 13 CI HPA tank. I'm still debating exactly what route i want to go with it, but i do like the vertical air configuration the best. I keep going back and forth between keeping it semi and building a thompson style semi, making a super stubby sniper (get a barrel thats only as long as the pump handle) or doing a thompson style sniper. Though the stubby sniper is probably the least practical as im going to be getting a short barrel/pump handle for my VSC phantom anyways |

| the 13ci tank is going to have an output pressure between 650 and 800 psi - which will need a different spring set if the gun has original springs. You'll need a low pressure tank if you don't want to run a secondary reg - or to re-spring the gun. I always suggest the second option - getting a low pressure tank is limiting yourself. |

| What the regular operating pressure for the cockers outta the factory? If a re springing is needed then thats no biggie. Are there any good guides out there for maintenance/velocity adjustment/timing the marker? My bad on the grips, i always think eclipse when i see that logo because of it being a planet |

| most post 2k cockers are going to like somewhere between 250 and 450 psi. I've worked on guns as low as 225. To run on an air tank w/o secondary reg - you're going to want to work up to the 750 range. as for timing guides my google-fu found cockertech.com pretty quick - there's a good video of timing on there. |
