| Need help building first cocker. Let me start off by saying I'm a cocker noob... Hi guys, I'm a regular lurker around these parts. I need some help from you cocker gurus because I've decided to build my own pump. I've built one pump before but it was just a trilogy that I converted nothing like what I'm looking to do. I built this thing for cheap to see if I liked pump and I love it! Now it's time to step up to the big leagues and build myself a nice pump. I thought about just buying a S6 but I would rather build my own because I think it will help me out in learning how everything works plus I like building my own gun because it always shoots better. ![]() So here are my questions: 1. Where can I buy bodies besides ebay and these forums. I really like the freeflow lotus bodies but because of the different back block can they use the CCM lower internals? 2. If I was to have a marker midblocked or halfblocked and I still wanted to use the CCM autotrigger and Pump kit how would I connect the back block to the pump arm? 3. Can someone send me in the direction to the thread that shows me how to make my pump "Ultra Low-Pressure"? That's it for now... Thanks Twigz |

You would need a custom pump arm or to cut yours down to length and rethread it. 3. Not really why you would want a lower pressure, it will be less efficient on 12 grams if you take that route. Also just find the right hammer and spring combination to get the pump stroke that you want. |

| If you're looking for LP operation then you need to look at respringing the valve and hammer and find a really large valve. Then sweet spot the velocity so you tune the reg's output to the valve and valve spring for the most air out from a hit. The procedure is in one of the tech articles at Moody Paintball Products . Also you can't, or at least sure do not want, to LP a 12 gram setup. The 12's just don't have enough volume to work well with such a setup and you'll hurt your shots/12'y rating. Instead you need to go REALLY old school and find an early 90's sniper or autococker valve that uses a small valve. Then you go for a hard valve spring and work the hammer spring up until it's shooting the right velocity. Why they do it this way is to put more control onto the valve spring pressure and less on the gas pressure. This leads to more consistency and better gas ecomomy all at the same time. It's the same principle that lets Phantoms and the like get so many shots per 12gm. So you see, you need to figure out if you want to stay with 12's or go for larger bottles or even HPA with your next setup to figure out what valve you need to shop for.
