My new cocker; Revamped!

Got my flat-rate box in the mail today, ripped it open to the presence of my newly-aquired STOCK bolt, working lpr, set screws, and shroud. I think it took me about a half of an hour to come up with a fully-functional and stock WGP Autococker. (ok; minus that funky muzzle and the leopard tape)..

Right now i'm looking into stabs, but until i save the money i'm just going to run a can of co2 through that expantion chamber. (note in picture two the bottom of the chamber has another asa built right in!)

Glad those parts worked out for ya. FWIW, as long as it's fairly warm (60+ degrees) and you don't go crazy on the trigger, that should run just fine on straight CO2. The expansion chamber should do an adequate job of keeping liquid out under those conditions, though the best EC out there isn't as effective at that as a good regulator.

Also, I'm not usually a fan of the add-on muzzle brakes, but that looks pretty damn sweet!

Neither am I, but it matches the shroud very well, I wouldn't like it without the shroud

Another question about the stab; when I aquire one, should i replace the EC with the stab? or run the stab into the EC? or the EC into the stab? whats optimal?

I have Bacci to thank for that muzzle brake. That one is sweet because it has a red dot on top for a sight.

Optimal? EC into stab. That will be kinda cumbersome though, unless you setup the EC on a bottomline or something, and use a remote or something crazy. In most cases you just replace it

Run just the reg. Expansion chambers are gimmicks especialy under the conditions where one would be warranted(cold weather, fast trigger or just pure liquid).

I have an old cocker not un like the one you have there...stock pnues and the whole nine. I run it off of a twenty ounce with no reg or Xchamber and it shoots just fine. Ive even had it choking snow out and still be able to fire it fine. You have to remember the older cockers were made to run on Co2...

Hmm. I see. I'll experiment myself eventually... May it be different at what altitude we are? I'm only a few miles from the water in new jersey.

If you get a good regulator, such as a palmers, the expansion chamber won't help consistency, it will just extend the amount of time between regulator rebuilds, and reduce maintenance.

I had a lot of good luck with my expansion chamber from my tippmann, my consistency went from +/-17fps to about +/-4 (averages). The less liquid getting into your reg (even if it was meant to take CO2), the less wear and tear there will be. The temperature change messes up tolerances and can shorten the life of O-Rings

PPS stabs are very CO2 resistant. Having an expansion chamber will do nothing to help if you have a stab. Having an EC will not prolong the life of your stabilizer unless you have extremely dirty CO2.
