So, after seeing the tinker projects here, it made me start on mine. Pretty much its just a O3M, I wanna run unregged, and do whatever I can to it.

This started life as my shorty autococker (Really tight setup). Now its my project since I've got other autocockers.



First thing I did was add a 15* VA from a Black Magic. Since it didn't have a hole on both sides to run it back, I had to drill one. Lets just say it was close lol.


Next I found the gas-through-grip I had hit the frame. So I popped it in the lathe and turned it down.

Since I used some sear I had laying around that was shorter, the resting place of the trigger placed the hole for the three-way rod behind the slot for it, I had to make it bigger.


Thats all I've got done right now. Whats next, IDK. I'm winging it lol. May make a stock like on the older snipers.

Also, since I'm running it off unregged HPA. I need a LPR that can do that (Lol, just blow the one I have). I know the older stock WGP ones can, Jack-Hammers, and Rocks can, but are there others?

Trying to keep costs down, and I will never use a older Worr one.

Just retested the LPR. seems to be holding, so I'm gonna run it into the ground.

I was bored so I went ahead and made up the stock. Simple, but comfy. Its made out of solid steel round-bar. I ended up making it a little longer then I think I should have for me, but I'm gonna try it on the field first to see. Then if its good, I'll counter sink the holes, and paint it, or cut it down, and redo the end.

I like what ou did to the gas through grip a lot. I think i'll keep that idea in mind for future refrence! Also the stock looks really nice. I think you about hit the nail on the head if you were looking for that older style stock design. Let us know how the stock comes out, i'm anxious to see.

Off topic, but what is the story with the LOTR eye on your goggles? Is that a legitimate product?

That's got to be a pretty heavy stock. You thinking of redoing it in aluminium once you get the fit just right?

Other than that on nit pick I like what you've done with it. Makes for a nice compact and light package.

Nah, its perfect! It feels just right when you hold it. Not to heavy, not to light, and the weights in all the right places.

Though I do wanna make one out of aluminium later like the ones on the old snipers. The ones that wrap from the back frame screw, it the bottom of the frame. Can't remember what they call those.

Thanks, the grip is very nice. I like it a lot, I wish more companys would pick up on simple designs. Though you lose all your grip with that, and the angle VA lol. May have to see about a heavy dust ano or something.

Lol, thats what I was hoping for. Simple stock that works, and looks like it was pulled out of an old gear bag. I just need to figure out a coating now. I'm gonna try and get a quote on powder coating, then maybe pick up some Dura-Coat and do it myself.

Hell yeah, Sauron eye! I got the skin from Xtreme Paintball. Was for Halloween this year.

Flecto brand color enamels stand up pretty decent if you're looking for a cheap job of painting. I have had great results by thinning it about 5 parts paint to one part paint thinner (regular cheap oil base housepaint thinner is the correct stuff for these enamels). Thinned that way it goes on easy and flows out completley. No brush marks at all. I'd go for two coats about 24 hours apart and let the second coat dry in a warmer part of the house for a good 3 or 4 days. Even then go easy on it for a week or so. By that time it'll be hard enough that it'll take quite a ding to chip the paint. I've done a bunch of motorcyce parts with it and they have held up great.

Love the Q loader. Too bad no one makes a bottom fed marker that takes the Q loader. I'd love to see the top of my markers clear of the feednecks and hoppers.

I know man! The feedneck just looks nasty with the Q-loader. I'd like to make a removable breach like on a X-mag. I'm gonna have to look into that for when I get a mill (I hope soon). But 'till then, I have a Warp feedneck adapter on the way.

No reall need for spraying if you thin as directed... Seriously, with a nice art store "soft" camel hair brush it flows on and settles wonderfully and looks like a spray job when done.

Here's a closeup from a pic I took of some barends for one of my motorcycles that I made. The tall black thing on the left is the stock finish and the low one on the right is my brush painted one I made. The paint in this case being dulled slightly from full gloss to a stock OEM sort of sheen by adding a touch of flat black to the gloss black. The lumps are dust since I didn't go to any lengths to keep it away.
