I decided that I want to send my cocker off to palmers and have them install dual front and rear detents.(the screw-in kind) I've looked around a little bit, but decided it would be best to ask you folks for advice. Who makes a quality detent? So far I think I want to go with the Cooper-T stainless steel detent. But then again I could go for the Palmers Nickel detents... What do you use? III

Shocktech rebuildable detents. Best thing in ball detents for a cocker out there. I discovered this after killing off three non-rebuildable detents over the course of several months one year. Once they get all gunked up, the spring fails or rust sets in, they never quite function as well anymore. Rebuildable detents can be accessed for replacement of the ball bearing and/or spring as required. I've managed to end up with several CCM bodies with wire detents which I like even better. There's nothing as simple or as cheaply replaced. -rat |

Longest lasting are the ProTeam Products ones but, wont work on all cockers other than that I'd agree with Rathbaster
