Wow, at least it worked out okay for you. He did pass up a great deal though.

it sounds to me that he really didn't want to buy your gun. perhaps he placed a bid with uncertainty in his mind and sat in hopes he would then be outbid. or maybe he got scared when someone told him it might be "hot". i only think this because of his unwillingness to work with the seller after the auction's end. well, and also because of the lying. "i know bud orr."

i am very glad to see that you weren't negatively affected by this layman.

Just a guess...most people selling "hot" markers don't include pictures of the serial number.

Ah ha! You get the last laugh! Well, as long as eBay allows you to relist the thing for free instead of eating the fees.

Don't be overly concerned with a negative feedback.
When I buy from someone who has a hit or two, I read all the feedbacks recieved and make a decision wether or not the guy is a bad seller, or the victim of a moron like the one who left you a positve yet negative feedback

Serves him right how he left you "positive" feedback and you were able to leave him negative feedback in return. He passed on a good deal, but it is likely that he was not going to respect the history of this marker anyway.
