Someone on AO or PBN had one for sale for $5. I had a '97 that used this style velocity adjuster and also used a standard Madmann spring kit. I'll find the link. Dan **Edit** found the thread: http://automags.org/forums/showthrea...54#post2262254 Dan |

Actually, in your pic, the valve body is turned around backwards. The valve stem sits on the "short lip" of the body, and yes, you're missing an oring which sits on the left side of the valve body as it's shown in your pic (towards the front of the gun installed). And, in case you didn't know, you're missing a cocking rod, backblock, trigger frame assembly, pump kit, and a barrel. ![]() Anonym

Thanks for pointing that out, I wondered why the stem was sticking. ![]() Also, this may be a stupid question but is the hammer lug upside down? This is the first time I've seen the threaded part of the lug catch the sear. When I remove it form the hammer the lug has a non threaded part that looks like it should be facing down on the sear. Thanks for all the info, this is my first time monkeying with a pre97 cocker.

With the sear lug... If the allen "head" is on the un threaded portion then that stays inside the hammer... If the allen head is in the threaded portion then you need to flip the screw.... You adjust the lug from the top of the hammer so I think that yours is installed correctly. If I remember correctly that's how my original lug was also. E Ignore the above.... Listen to what Anonym says below. Last edited by Schmitti; 12-28-2006 at 12:51 PM. |

...unless the body isn't drilled for a sear lug access hole. In that case, the allen head portion is on the bottom and catches the sear. The only way to adjust these is by removing the trigger frame, making a small adjustment, putting it back together to try it, and repeating as often as necessary. I have a pre-96 body that I drilled just to save the headaches. Anonym

Yeah when I sent my mini body off to Claudio I had him drill it for the adjustment.... You are correct about the allen in at the bottom... sorry for that bit of miss info.. I'll go back and change my thread. E |
