| Rabid Otter Paintballer! Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Maine. | I'm ticked AGAIN... putting cocker hosing on a barb???
I want to make sure I'm doing this right. I put half the hose on the lip of the barb, and pushed so it stretched over. I used a pair of tweezers to help hold the hose, and then pushed the hose towards the barb when it was on so it would go up the barb. I was patient. When I actually managed to get it to go up the barb, it stretched and split... I think this is from the fact the hose is WAY to thin. Its thinner than the stock cocker hose, and way easier to bend. Good or bad??? If its bad, I need to chew out a seller.Last, from trying so much, my barb broke. As if that's not bad enough, it broke the barb at the threading of all places. Stripping the 3 way threading. I'm about ready to spit nails.

It sounds like you've got the wrong barb/hose combination. There are different diameter barbs out there, and varying types of LP hose. Some is thicker and stiffer and some is thinner and more flexible. If the hose doesn't fit the barb well it'll just blow off when you gas it up.

Hmmm. I'm probably just going to sell the autococker. I have neither the time nor the energy for it, and as of this incident I really could care less about it. Which is sad.
