Can someone ID this Automag barrel? Hey guys, I got this barrel as part of a Mag package I bought off eBay. The auction listed a TI Boomstick as part of the package. Well, it came with a 14" DYE SS and this. I think this may be the TI "Boomstick" (yes, I know it isn't a Boomstick). The barrel is polished and has a slight tan tint to it, almost no wear too. It weighs about as much as an Aluminum barrel of equal size. However when I flick it with my finger the ping it makes sounds closer to the SS barrel than an AL barrel. I don't think it is Smart Parts but I would like to hear what some of you think. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...eb/Barrel3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...eb/Barrel2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...eb/Barrel1.jpg |
I have an aluminum CP barrel with the same profile and vent pattern, might be a polished CP. |
Looking through the barrels at PBreview it has the same profile as a 32 degrees Ice Cold barrel. The 32 degrees barrel is nickel plated though. I don't have any nickeled aluminum barrels for comparison but nickeled brass is pretty heavy where this barrel is quite light. PolarMonkey could you post a picture of your CP barrel? |
Unfortunately its back at home and I'm away at college, but now that I think about it more, my CP barrel has additional grooves near the muzzle, so my guess was wrong. |
looks like a SP All American. -Jake |
