Carbine Barrel, what it is?

I have one of these, the guy I bought it off of thought it was a J&J All American something something.

This barrel rocks and I'd like to know where I can get more of them, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I've been seriously impressed using this the past couple years, very quiet on a carbine, and dead-on accurate.

Does anyone know where to find one, or more?

Only place you're likely to find that style is ebay....they've been out of production for a while

Doh! Alright, thanks Chaos, I'll keep on the lookout.

Do you have any idea how the more modern ones stack up?

Modern ones shoot just as nice, only problem is they wont fit under the foregrip on those guns without modifying the grip. The modern ones are also 2 piece and have a variety of different lentghs of tips you can get....Now that Smart Parts has gone under good luck finding the ones you want, alot of them are getting tougher to find new

Doh! Thanks Titus, but I am only looking for A5/Carbine threaded.

I might try out one of the newer ones to see how they stand up.

Yeah, I had read somewhere that the 17" was super rare, but honestly I can't imagine why, I have a 16" and I'm happy with that. The newer ones would work ok with a 68 Carbine because the foregrip is more or less aesthetic, but the feedneck/foregrip combo on the Carbines makes it harder to find barrels.
