What barrel is this?

This seems to be a common question for this forum...

Anyway, picked this up locally from a guy who had no clue what it was. I think I remember reading about one like it, but I didn't find the thread while searching.

It's all stainless with huge porting with a VERY smooth bore (Lapco smooth), any idea who made it/what it's called?

I think it is a DAC "tulip" barrel.

the shape reminds me of a hammerhead recon(smooth bore also) but the porting is not angled and is large..?

No clue, but I think I have one as well. Mine is stainless, and heavy as can be. I think mine is about 10", yours looks longer. I'll check when I get home.

Looks like a DAC tulip barrel to me as well.

I agree with Wild and Bulldog....DAC Tulip

Does anyone have more info on DAC?

Its not a DAC... I bough one of those new for my mag and cocker I had at the time around 95-ish.. I was told they were AKA barrels... not AKALMP but some other company named AKA. I can tell you they shot very nice although were very loud

I agree - I remember where I was working as a ref at the time, they had a display on the counter top with a description

I alway wanted one - I am aware that they were available in three different ID sizes (the now standard three decimal measuring) that you had to specifically request on ordering & this was the most orignal attribute. NO ONE at that time was selling barrels with available assorted sizes

... If I remember correctly, the only thing other barrel companies were saying for sizes was "small bore, Med bore & large bore". this included SP, BOA, J&J, etc...

I completely aggree that this is a AKA barrel, the only thing I am not too sure about is the length. I always saw that they came in a 10" (or 12") format
