Spyder SE: Rail Gun?

My friend picked this thing up, and based on a little research, it appears to be a Spyder SE body with some form of electronics and hoses that look similar to those on a "rail gun." I know the frame is off of an Orion, he put it on there as the frame he got with it was messed up.

There's a power switch and 2 buttons on the rear, and a screen on the left side. Bottom button is a safety, and the top button changes the firing mode.

On power up the screen says "light them up" or something similar.

At the moment, it fires (took pics before he fixed it) but its shooting pretty low. I think it just needs a good cleaning, but not having any experience with anything like this I don't know where to start. We're also not sure where the velocity adjustment is either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A rail gun? No...that's an electropneumatic conversion on a Spyder. Does it actually work with the Orion frame? It must have a microswitch that is contacted by a stock frame sear, that's kinda cool. It's got the crappiest LPR I've ever seen on the front there...looks to be 1/8 threaded, so you can probably replace it with an autococker LPR. The foregrip is also a PMI reg, so you may be able to increase velocity by turning it up.

Yeah, it works. Hell, you can walk the trigger fast enough to engage the ramping. I do know there's a microswitch in there, I just don't know what activates it. Do you know what brand the electronics are? There's no markings anywhere on it.

I have never seen anything like it. Maybe homebrew or small custom shop.

Could be a homebrew EP conversion, or possibly a "the one" conversion?

Why do you suppose there's a hose reaching into the inside of the bolt?

Does the board say anything on the LCD?

I swear that may be an early incarnation of something from Bob Long

It says "light them up" or something like that on startup.

after that:

top left: firing mode
bottom left: BPS cap
top right: what I assume is a shot counter
bottom right: safe/live

Definitely not "the one", the one was more refined but crappier at the same time compared to this.
