Unknown Nelson

Someone posted this on PBNation asking what it was. BOS said it might be an older AGS or TASO.

And most of them I guess failed to notice the Sharpshooter sitting on top of it which was why I bought it off the guy.

The body is not rusting above the grip changer, someone tried to paint it camo I believe. The bore looks fantastic. The internals look almost too good, and the fact that the hammer doesn't slide in very well makes me think some things were replaced. Also forgot to mention, it does have dual pump arms.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing on the sight rail or pump arms, I presume? There were a lot of companies that put out bolt on kits like that. I had a Wintec body & frame with a TASO pump that I built up a long time ago.

Those sight rails arent worth much, there are hundreds if not thousands of them around... Carter couldnt give one away at castle one year. Free. No one wanted it.

As I think B stated, tehy are just a relabeled airgun sight from Europe, still available today.

The pumphandle looks like an si bushy to me. Just the angular cutout for the pump arm and the type of knurling both seem to be their style. But I don't know that no one else copied that.

Taso copied it, and a few other I think.

Looks like a parts gun to me.

Barrel/body looks like Taso.
Pump and bolt look like Line S/I.
Bolt looks like original Nelson/Daisy
ASA/valve body is aftermarket...can't remember who made those with the flat top.

That is a taso gun of sorts, but it started as a 007. I say this because A. the frame color is the standard nelson blue/greyish black, vs taso black. Also the grips are brown, tasos came with black ones IIRC. The hammer is NOT a stock 007 part, loosk to be some sort of aftermarker hammer. based upon the fact that it came with an agd sharpshooter, Id say it was assembled in the early 90s as a parts gun, rather than later down the road. Also note that the frame is not camoed and the body is. Now someone could have purchased the body and parts used back in the day and went from there. Like I said its mostly TAso but its a parts gun when it gets down to it. Value? 30-50 bucks If it shoots good who cares who made it, just have some fun with it.
