Very simply, it is his gun and he should do whatever he likes with it, regardless of how we feel about it. As Chappy said, it is a completely reversible mod, and in no way detracts from the original gun. You do what you like with your guns, and others do what they like. I understand your analogy, but really you can still reverse whatever you do to an original Camaro, hell they even make BRAND NEW complete bodies for early Camaros now.
