Radar Mark 3000

Well here is my most recent addition to the collection. I received this from a friend in the industry, who told me that there were only around 10 prototypes made, and it never made it to the shelves. The s/n on this one is 1003, and I have been told it started at 1000. The stock barrel is spiral rifled. I was hoping to get some more info on this.
Thanks

There is a Radar Mark 2000 on Steve Davidsons list, as well as on Vintagerex.
It is a pump, but might be the same company? PCRI reviewed the Mark 2000 in 1993. So if those are related, it likely dates this gun from 94-96. (it does not appear on the APG 1996 gun-roundup).

I first thought it was an F1 clone, but notice the gas line screws into the lower receiver. Then the gas must travel into the upper receiver. This is somewhat similar to the system used on the old PEC Combat. It also looks more like a Combat then F1. Perhaps this company evolved into PEC. The address listed on this gun is fairly close to the one listed on the PEC.

I'd bet it's a precursor to the Laser/Viper M1. I see a lot of similarities there. How does the barrel attach?

It was made by the same company as the Mark 2000 ( it came in a Mark 2000 box). It was made by Radar MFG. Co. Inc. , Tucson, AZ. I have a couple of Mark 2000 and they are similar in construction (materials Etc.)The barrel is threaded and seems to have its own thread pattern.
From what I understand this was this companys attemp at the semi-auto market in the Mid-90's, but it never got off the ground.

Thanks for all the info so far.

I wonder if they started with an F-1 or F-2 and reworked it...there's a lot of similarities there.
