May it be some kind of euro-version maybe?!
I'm just brainstorming here...

Have you cross referenced the barrel that you got from Stilgar with Doc's Barrel thread guide?

Might be worth a look. Included the link.

Doc's Barrel ID Guide

Any chance you could get a picture up of the barrel and the threads that you recieved?

Some pics:

The barrel is confirmed as a Poison, as Stilgar provided pics of it mounted on a stock Poison before sending it to me.

Did some measuring on my Pioson and found that the o.d. of the barrel threads to be 0.884, which is considerably smaller then the one pictured.

Also checked the thread pitch with a gauge and it is 20 TPI.(threads per inch).

May i suggest you check the thread pitch on your Marker and the barrel to see if they are the same.

You may possibly have a marker that has been re threaded as HP Lovecraft mentioned.

Hopefully with the info i gave you you might be able to resolve the mystery.Sorry it couldn't be more. If i come across some more info i'll be sure to post.
