Guy came into my store today and gave me this.
Guy said his son used to play about 20 yrs ago and brought this marker in and just gave it to me. I have no idea what it is or what its worth. The gun air right up when i put a 12 gram in it. He also left me some old Masks and a cool looking viewloader hopper.
I don't think thats the valve that came with the gun. I don't think any of the Taso guns came with round trigger guards without a nub on the bottom away from the handle.
Thats a really neat Hopper.
TASO originally made kits to convert your Nelspot, that frame and those grips are from a 007.
I've got an almost identical setup.
This is a TASO Spartan, first generation. It's an excellent little shooter. Most likely doesn't have anti-kink/adjustable velocity internals. These retailed at about $145.00 in 1990.
The hopper is the first generation "Viewloader".
The goggles are UVEX "Futura", which once were the "Industry Standard" until UVEX found out about it. (You're doing WHAT with OUR goggles???!!!)
The mask is a PMS. Please don't use these goggles for paintball, or anything else that requires safety goggles. They're too old and can't be trusted to protect your eyes.
Totally nice find of circa 1990 "state of the art" paintball equipment.
I've got like 8 of those masks with the goggles haha, cool piece of history.
I love the mask....I want one. Fitted with a modern goggle and that mask would be great.
so when i list this on ebay putting it as a Nel-spot 007 with Taso parts wouldnt be completely inaccurate?
Taso Spartan - Converted Nelspot 007
the mask is made by AGD,, yeah, airgun designs
the hopper is a viewloader 90.. with a 10 round speedfeed adapter.. and a windowed lid (probably where the name "viewloader" derived from)
