Another Barrel

This came off of an F4 Illustrator. 12 sided brass barrel with an aluminum sleeve. I'm stumped.

Neat looking barrel. I wonder if it is a barrel someone modified by milling the 12 flats on the front end?

I think by the time the F4 was around, most aftermarket barrels made them out of stainless steel or aluminum. Around that timeframe only J&J, BOA and Palmer were barrel manufacturers using brass that come to mind.

Thanks for sharing pics of that unusual piece.

I'd have to guess j&j because they did whatever you wanted. The threaded end and the porting also fit j&j. But the sleeve and the flats seem unique.
The sleeve would make sense on a pump, were there any pumps this would fit?
Oh don't procarb barrels work with F4s ? That would explain it too.

Cool peice regardless. I'm guessing .689 or bigger. No straight rifling on the bore, right?
