Unknown Mask

The local store owner found this cleaning up and gave it to me since I'm the only guy in town who wants vintage paintball gear. I looked through all the APG scans I could find and didn't see anything that looked the same. Anybody know what it is ?

Pretty much just a wall hanger for the collection.
Not safe to use even when they were new, had problems with the lens cracking from hits or near the lock in points.
These pop up every once and awhile and I can't remember who made them right now, came out in the eary 90's.
Very cool looking though, came in black or olive and were comfy to wear.

It's from Fox Studio's.
It's a Space Marine helmet from the series 'Space: Above and Beyond'.

Well it looks like it anyway.

I remember several people using them back in the day. And like caplucky said, they had major safty issues. I cann't remember who made them either but I know who does.
I'll post the info when I find out.

No, this one certainly isn't safe to wear, nor do I find it at all comfy. It's neat looking though, I'll give it that. Too bad the masks section of VintageRex got wiped.

It was marketed as a Persuit Helment..... I think by PMI. I don't know if it was sold under another name or not.

I used to have one. They were good for peripheral vision at the time, but I got paint in my eye one game and that was it, Back to the predators for me.

Several different companies put those out. I bought mine at the WGP table at the 91' masters. Put a radio shack fan and a tongue operated switch in it. Worked pretty good, until the lens started to crack! Still got it!

This is actualy a question that comes up once or twice a year. PMS helmet (paintball mania supplies) Not to be confused with PMS mask ( they were quite often and visa versa) Also sold as Stratagy Helmet.
