WTB bare 68/3K carbon tank(s)...

I'd like to buy one to three bare 68 ci, 3,000 psi carbon-fiber tanks, preferably Carleton (or at least the black/grey wrap, rather than the lighter white or cream colored like on ACI or PMS tanks.)

Out of hydro is fine, and I'd prefer ones that haven't been rehydroed- in other words, it hasn't been retested since new. Barring those, I'll gladly consider tanks that have been retested once, if the price is right.

Of course if the tank's out of test, it should be able to pass hydro- no dents, scars, scratches, duct tape or wood screws smeared with Gorilla Glue jammed into the hole they drilled in it to condemn it. (No, I haven't seen anyone do that... but I'll bet somebody's tried. )

I'd prefer bare, with good threads of course, but if you've got one with a dead reg you'll sell for just the price of the tank, I'll take it.

Actually, I just said thanks for the offer, but I was kind of hoping for the darker colored grey or black tanks. I'm not a big fan of tank covers (mainly because they make the tank look like a big shoe. )

If I can't dig up anything closer to what I had in mind, I'll let you know.

Rainy: Sorry, the regs I'm using are 3K. Personally, I wouldn't have any trouble keeping track (especially since i can't even get 4500) but I may eventually be selling some of these projects, so I shouldn't mix-and-match.

Though I should ask what you mean by a Sterling. I don't really have anything I'm all that interested in selling, except maybe a partial Sov that's left over from my ElectroSov build all those years ago.

I've been thinking about fitting it with a good swing frame and putting it back into operation, but the only swinger I really like are the Eclipses, and they go for fair money.

Ana- got your PM, let me know what you come up with. Thanks.

I think I have a tank that fits what your looking for perfectly. Got to check to be sure. Also have some 68/4500 tanks.

Tank is in excellent condition, should pass no problems. I bought it awhile back with the intention of hydro-testing it and letting my GF use it but she now uses the 110/3000.
