looking for interesting 45 frame grip panels...

the title pretty much states it all. I am looking for odd-ball wood or pearl 45 grip panels. I'd also love to score a nice set of dye clear ones as well.

feel free to pm me if you have anything odd ball hanging around.

thanks

Are you looking for "one offs" or just panels in general? If it's just grips, I'd even suggest looking on handgun, IPSC, etc. websites.

I used to get the Pachmayer wrap around grips and take a scalpel to the center section and make it into two seperate panels. Another place that used to have some cool grips was Kings here in SoCal. They always used to carry nice micarta, natural woods, CF empreganted, etc. grips.

Thanks for the heads up...I am kind of looking for some one off pearl grips for the time being...however I may contract someone to make some exotic wood grips..

but thanks though, I do appreciate it.

Go over to the "1911 Forum". Check out the Gunsmithing link. Theres a host of infor on aftermarket grips. The hot setup lately seems to be laminated grips with a golf ball texture milled into the surface, not to mention everywhere else on the gun.

Colt Gov't 1911/1991 Full Size and Clones is the correct style and not the mini for our frame right?

I believe that you are correct.
I do know that the Officer's sized ones are too short.
