WTB Wood grips for Sheridan frame(AGD)

I am looking for some nice wood grips to fit my new Houndstooth. I believe the AGD style with one screw mounting is the type. Shartely grips would be really nice. Does he still make custom grips? Show me with you have. Thanks

Smart parts wood grips will actually extend past the bottom of the grip frame in the front. And I think (Think) they need a small hole drilled in the back side also, But not positive about the hole.

Actually, the SP grips require a bit of material removal to get them to fit properly. It can be done, but I'd suggest finding an ugly or beat-up pair to use as guinea pigs. Also, if you check out some airgun places, you're likely to find some that fit Crosman frames. I had a set of lefty wood grips exactly identical to the old PMI grips (very comfy) that I got from just such a place. I think they were only like $15, too.

On a pair of SP grips, the material has to be removed to accomodate the bottom part of the trigger frame. It's not too hard with a Dremel and a barrel bit. I've done this on several. Go slowly and check the fit as you go. If you do it right, you can radius the edge you're cutting so it looks like they were made that way. They will hang down past the frame on the bottom a bit unless you have a UMB.

Thanks for all the information. I had first spoken to Lori from PPS. She told me about the overhang, but I do have the umb for the stock I use. I may wait for Shartleys wood grips. Here is making a comeback to the custom wood grip scene.

I had planned on getting out some grips this summer, but things got in the way. I still do plan on making some though. I suggest however that if you really like wooden grips, get ANY wooden grips to tide you over. Then when I have some for sale you can upgrade if you like.

Yes those are Sheridan-style SP grips.
