I've seen these from time to time on Ebay (ron_asp and his VM horde)...I'm hoping that some of you have a few extras that you're willing to sell If so, please post here! thanks |

All you need is: Automag Spring Some Nickels 1- Remove the old main spring, and guide. 2- Remove the white bumper on the hammer, and replace setscrew with shorter one to keep cocking knob attached. 3- stick automag spring behind the hammer 4- Add enough nickels behind the spring until the tension is correct. 5- Put backplug back, and THAT IS IT. For SUPER SIMPLE FPS adjustment, just drill/tap a hold into the center of the rear plug, so you can thread a screw through that pushes against the nickels. VM owners were doing this before the Proshot kit came out. It was easy since automag owners usually changed there bolt spring every year, and were giving away the old ones. nick |

I've done this on two of my VMs. I have one super minty VM exc that I wanted to "upgrade" with the real pro-shot kit. Thanks for the replies! |

The only current issue is that you can no longer have the long bolt or the upper plug installed as the bolt needs to be removed for the external velocity adjuster to work. I can also port your valve, lighten the hammer, do all sorts of body milling, etc. --Joel |
