My brother influenced in to buying this so we could race. I do not know much about nitro cars so bear with me. My brother drilled a few holes in the frame/chassis, whatever it is called, to accommodate the new engine. I believe they are called crystals, there are at least two of them that have fallen through the slot in the controller. They now bounce around inside of it, wouldn't be a problem, but one of the screws is stripped and I can't disassemble it.

EDIT: Is the price too high? I am not familiar with these.

The radio is a Jaguar 8217 RP AM 27 MHZ. It doesn't have an antenna. I found a spare air filter and a piece that lets you use a drill to start it instead of the pull start. I also have a glow igniter and a charger.

judging by the radio and from what i can see in the pic i'd say the price is a little too high to be honest but it's hard to say what it's worth without knowing the true condition of everything, and whether or not if it's a kit or a ready to run version. these things are a lot of up keep. the shocks, and differential needs to be maitained regularly, same with the clutch. these trucks are full of bearings and those have to be maintained as well. the turnbuckles and ball ends wear out too. i used to race these things every weekend and speak from experience and if they aren't properly maintained they go all to hell quickly.

you've got one of the best in the business chassis platforms there is. the RC10GT is an awesome truck and is a truelly competitive kit. the radio and servos aren't worth much and are entry level at best. the engine is entry level too and not knowing if it is worn out or not it's hard to price it too.

My brother bought the engine from a guy that said he bought it new, and used it just enough to break it in. What would a fair price be?

well, if you consider that you can buy a brand new ready to run rc10gt for just under $300 your price might not be far off. $175-$200 should be fair if everything is in good shape.
