13" White MacBook

Purchased approximately 1 year ago from Apple. I am the original owner and notebook comes with original box, charger, installation disks, etc. This notebook is in great condition externally and runs seamlessly (99% idle with Firefox, iMail, iChat, and finder open right now).

View images below for direct specifications and installed programs (screen shots taken from this notebook).

(my name and notebook's serial number have been whited-out for privacy reasons)

Just a few highlights from Apple.com - Apple - MacBook

Quote:
Streamlined to go.

A mere 1.08 inches thin and weighing only 5.0 pounds, MacBook cuts a slim profile on any desk (or in any backpack or briefcase). And since MacBook is sure to become your constant companion, a durable polycarbonate shell keeps it ready for the rough and tumble of everyday life.

Looking good.

Whether you’re working on your next Keynote presentation or watching a movie before you catch a flight, every document, video, and photo on your MacBook will look sharp on the glossy 13.3-inch widescreen display. With pixel-perfect 1280-by-800 resolution, it’s great for viewing and working with media.

Key figure.

MacBook features a unique keyboard design that sits flush against the bed for a lower profile. That means you experience a firm, responsive touch when typing. Now that ought to make your fingers happy.

Better than ever.

Inside the new MacBook is the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor based on 45nm-process technology and advanced Core microarchitecture. This powerful technology lets Intel create hundreds of millions of microscopic 45-nanometer transistors. And the advancements keep advancing with 3MB of shared L2 cache and a newly enhanced SSE4 vector engine. Translation: you get a MacBook with snappier performance that runs applications faster and more efficiently than ever before.

The new MacBook runs applications up to 58% faster than the previous generation.

As of early June, this notebook was sent into Apple where a brand new keyboard, track-pad, and hard drive was installed. Tip-top shape for it's next owner.

I can reinstall OSX if desired, so that you will have a clean computer without any previous files. Or you could keep the $1200 of extra software currently installed... I also have roughly 5,000 music tracks that I can rip from my iPod onto the MacBook if desired

$800 or trades.

Thanks,

Just curious - why did it need a new keyboard, trackpad, and hard drive?

The standard 1-year Apple product replacement plan covers all hardware on their products. One day the hard drive had gone haywire (very long start ups) so I took the MacBook to my not-so-local Apple store. They gave me the option of repairing the hard drive (which would take a week or two turn-around) or replacing it with a new one (since it was covered under the 1-year plan). The obvious choice for me was to replace it with a brand new one -

While they were doing that, they also replaced the keyboard and track pad because they "showed signs of wear" (well no duh, after using it for a full year, hours a day in college).

So now, the external shell may have a few small scratches and such, but the screen and keyboard area look like they just left the Apple factory.
