| Thoroughbred of Sin Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: On the Hill, Fayetteville, AR | Tactical Body Armor Carrier and Ballistic Panels First off, the POLICE Patches ARE NOT INCLUDED! They are only there for representation and will be taken off. They're Velcro. This would be perfect for Mil-Sim types of games. It is an ABA (American Body Armor) Tactical Raid/ Entry Vest with Safariland Panels. The panels are from '93 I believe and wouldn't recommend this as an actual duty vest. The Vest features four (4) pockets and a flashlight holder. All four pockets are on the front of the vest. Starting from the left side, the first pocket is for holding a radio, but can be used for holding other items. The second pocket has a flap and three (3) elastic straps that can be used for holding handgun magazines (Tac 8?). The third pocket is a smaller, open pocket that can be used for holding smaller (Stinger) flashlights or handcuff keys, etc. The fourth Pocket also has a flap, but is bigger than the second and has three (3) elastic straps. Two in the back that can be used to hold rifle magazines (possible 50 rd pods, don't know) and a third elastic strap in front of the two that spans the width of the pocket. On the far right hand side is the flashlight holder for bigger flashlights (Maglights, Streamlight XP20’s, etc). Again, the Police Patches are for SHOW ONLY and WILL NOT be included. These can be purchased almost anywhere by Law Enforcement individuals. The vest is in immaculate condition with no rips, tears or snags and the panels have never been shot, Thankfully!! GONE AND SOLD ON EBAY PB trades are always welcome. Offer anything, just no SP. Only things I'm really looking for is a Left Feed cocker body, (can be anything from body to full cocker, we'll work out particulars) and an ARMSON OEG Sight. Now for the Paintball Porn:

I know most states tack on extra penalties for using one in a crime. I'm pretty sure it's ok for civilians to own/ buy them (50 cent comes to mind) just not use them in a crime.

if you commit a serious crime in armour, enjoy lots of extra prison.

As a side note, I wish I could think up a good reason for this to show up at the door. I am sure my parents would love to see that hanging in the closet right before I leave for my new dorm. |

There are some weird laws about it, for instance CT requires FTF transactions at purchase, unless it's a LEO purchaser.

The SAPIs were lightweight body armor designed to be used with the OTVs to provide greater protection against assault rifle ammunition, and could be legally possessed and used only by the United States military. They were not permitted to be sold to the public as surplus equipment. The old DOD link is down, but that was the case decision that they still go off of. http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/pae/News/P.../dec/avery.pdf |
