buy it and put it a side. lol it's sat here for almost 2 year with out being used. i don't think a few more months will kill it lol.

$500 shipped with out 4 jaw indpendet chuck and with out drill chuck
will only come with tools listed and 2.5 inch self centering chuck

the drill chuck can be found on ebay for 20 something bux with arbor if you look up sherline.

9"? I wouldn't touch anything below a heavy 10 for a general purpose manual lathe, the small manuals are good for making small parts, and are great for CNC'ing, but I've learned the hard way that those small light lathes don't have the rigidity necessary to take a deep cut.

I personally been thinking about another lathe, specifically for CNC conversion - instead of a simple QC toolpost, I was going to mount a gang tool plate, so I could set up multiple tools(sorta the poor mans turret changer) using omniturn QC posts meant for Gang tool applications.

not going for a light 9 x 20

plus my 9x 20 on my 3 in 1 has never had an issue taking a deep cut. compared to sherline lathes.

besides that wish i could go bigger but my shops size won't allow it.
