I found an exceptionally nice peice of aluminum in the ALU-trash today. IT so happens to be that the radius of the aluminum peice was a more or less exact match to the pumphandle.
BINGO! Now I could clamp it in the machine vise more easily.
IT may be hard to see in the picture, but I turned a temporary center of ABSplastic junk on a manual lathe. I turned it to 22.41mm dia. That's 0.01mm bigger than the center hole of the pump handle.
With gentle force and a hammer I put it in the handle when I clamped it so the vise jaws won't cruch it or loose grip when I mill through the "shell" of the handle making the fiting grooves.
