BLaChance75 is a model citizen of MCB, his patience and wisdom are unmatched! Many here know of his apicultural exploits, but few know the story regarding his beekeeping standing in his quaint New England hometown.
It started with his first bee colony, there was just something about it that beckoned to nature. Maybe it was BLachance's massive amounts of natural bee pheromones, or the pictures of MAr with Brass that he pasted inside the brood boxes... Whatever the reason, his hives attracted queens from other colonies quite regularly. And it wasn't long before he was on several of his fellow beekeeper's bad-lists, as they kept finding themselves with queenless hives. After several disappearances (and noticing that their bee colonies now gently hummed "MAAaaarrrr" instead of "BBuuuuzzz") they knew where to go to find their queens, and BLachance was all too happy to help out his neighbors as they pulled out comb after comb until the adulterous queens were found and returned. However, despite his calm, accommodating, and downright friendly demeanor, something just didn't quite sit right with the other keepers. They just couldn't help feeling some kind of animosity, and would remark "This is your Last Chance, Brian!"
Well seasons passed, and it became a regular occasion around the town, that the keepers would find a queen missing and head over to BLachance's. Over time the animosity waned, and the conversation turned more toward weather and sports. Still ending with the colloquial "This is your Last Chance, Brian", but with an increasingly mirthful aire. At a point, it was more a phrase of endearment than an expression of irritation. Until one day it just stopped.
Well BLachance had become so accustomed to the phrase that he noticed it was missing. It was downright unusual when Fred departed with a "See ya tomorrow, Brian." It caught him so off guard that he hollered back "Now hold up a minute Fred, have I run out of Last Chances?" To which Fred replied "Nah. I just rather figured that after 75 Last Chances, it was gettin' kinda silly."
BLaChance75's patience and friendliness around the apiary obviously translate directly to outstanding etiquette and admirable practices in the BST of our good forum. Quick to pay, and patient to wait. I highly recommend him for future transactions here on MCB.
