*NEW* Mini Dye Rotor 90 Round Complete Hopper Conversion Kit

    Ready for something new?

    Background:
As a lifelong pump player I always desired a compact, light, reliable, motorized loader to keep up with the autotrigger and nothing really fit the mold. I hoped Dye would make a Rotor shell that was smaller, something in the 100 round capacity range but like Half Life 3, it never came out.

About 3 years ago I got hooked on 3D printing and quickly started working on my own models. I got ahold of the shoebox Rotor and played with that for a few trips and although the idea was great, improvements could be made and I set out on a path to a new design. 9 months of work has brought me to a place I am pretty happy with and has been reliable on the field from taking hits, to getting slammed in the snow and ice as I lost my footing and used it to stop my fall.

This brings is us to today and what I am offering

UPDATE Version 2.0 is now READY
    • Revised Spring System - Now springs open
    • Locking lids! Spring loaded push button, slides and locks securely
    • Translucent power button - much easier to tell if rotor is on
    • 5 capacity options 60, 75, 80, 100, 130 (450 round coming soon!)
    • New lower option with ability to mount camera: Go Pro/Clones
      • All Uppers and lowers work with each other. Locking sleds may be specific for size or magnet
Still like the older version with magnetic hold open lids? No problem I will not retire them.

    Key Features:
    • Toolless Disassembly
      • Slide the locking sled back, rotate the top shell, and you have access to the motor, feed tray, and gears. Everything comes out in the spirit of the Dye Rotor
    • Interchangeable Upper Shells
      • Locking: 60, 75, 80, 100, 130
      • Magnetic: 60, 90 (Curved)
        • Spring tension keeps the lid closed, pop it open and it magnetically stays on the sled
    • Threaded 2 piece Feedneck
      • Our local field offers 50 cal play for kids and my son has started to get into it. I designed the feedneck to have a swappable inner core and want to offer a 68/50 cal conversion when I have some additional design time.
    • Feedneck bolts on
      • In the chance you do crack the feedneck (also simplifies printing), the entire hopper is not a loss. Replacement parts are available
    • Durability
      • Printed with PLA+
      • Lower shell is mainly 3mm thick, Upper shell is generally 3mm+ in most parts outside from the inner cylinder

    What will it cost me?
    • Base Mini Rotor Kit $65 (Assembled with all parts, includes shipping)

FredMnkyDad10 Sicksthree Didn't realize there would be such love for the NERF version. I made that for myself and is an example of a custom texture wrap for the hoppers. If there is interest, I could see doing a small batch of them.

Is it possible to go even smaller? lol I run with them ASP? pods that hold maybe 50-60 rounds. Currently have a JELO hopper and it’s annoying to load and there’s like 5-8 balls left in the pods.

BubbleHead87 It is possible to go smaller? Yea I had a prototype that was about 75. I found 85-90 being comfortable running 50 round pods and reloading before the rotor low round spin kicks in and also not stuffing the hopper totally full. The nice thing with this design is if I did a call it "micro" upper shell in the future, you could swap between them.
